hello,
I read the bofb site text and didn't want to add this as a comment but feel I should mention this to you, being a friend of the mighty chris brogan and all :)

I think it would be a better read if you added a little more of your own self into the blog, why you are a blonde blogger and why others should take your word for the statements presented as facts.

I noticed some nice "flavor" with 'new dress' 'darling' and all that, this is good but it wasn't enough to balance the text book 'how to' approach.
i feel that it would have read better if you fleshed out the character presenting us this usefull information.

i feel that you would make a more effective blogger if you chose to either write from your personal experience, let us learn vicariously, or write a straight how to without flavor, just the facts ma'am.

my first thought on the title 'bforb' was 'they already have a bforb it's called myspace. just teasing, but words are associated with conditioned responses and blonde is a trigger word.

I feel that the standard 'blondes can be intelligent' approach would fit nicely into the theme, and a snappy graphic or two would make the site look more personable.

obviously you are serious about your business persona and don't want to appear foolish but let your blonde hair down a little in your blogging, you can present usefull information and be fun too.

good luck!

Suggestion: don't use underlined text as headers but rather bold or change color or larger font size. As silly as it sounds, underlining should have gone out with the electric typewriter.

The rest is great! Might as well have as many people in the party as possible, since there's really no limit to the potential blogs on the web.

Suzy, I will direct my non blogging soon to be non friends to this post, hope the light bulb goes off for them. In addition to agreeing with Daniel Johnson’s playground imagery and cautionary editing:

Turn into a Geek? Naw, just an opportunity to meet a few billion people and find common ground.

Pre Web, we socialized with humans who came within reach of our eyes and ears AND fingers. Post Web we now meet people from anywhere on the planet. Soon off Planet. What are the odds one hits it off better with just people near us geographically? Good if both are looking to procreate or hunt for food, not as good vs. the millions of people out there who may compliment your idea with their ideas.

There is an efficiency meeting people over the network, a reduction in the baggage the ‘live’ people we know both have themselves and know about us. There is a clean slate to begin a dialogue. Since we are changing all the time, the ‘best friend’ we’ve known all our lives in this way does not ‘know’ us now better then someone we begin a communication with over the network.

You could argue the social networking happening now with Web 2.0 is a balance to add some baggage to our network entity and the network entities we meet. Info-baggage. Network Baggage. Who you know baggage. Thief Baggage! We hates it, we hates it forever!!

Blondes are smart really.
Brains have been becoming the weapon of choice for the last several millennia; however the network is super-turbo charging brains as THE most important asset a human possesses to survive. Not necessarily the most important from a philosophical view; but philosophy was never big on making sure one’s genes perpetuate. White Supremists HATE this trend towards brains as THE weapon, I love that.

I don’t think it helps, however, to post your picture if you good looking as you’ve done. This simply fosters primality and, um, undoes some of my theories. I just signed up for Second Life, and taking a tip from Stan James, am going to make my avatar (it just hourglasses for me so far) as ugly as I can. I need to prove to myself I am a Cyrano, and my pen can surmount any obstacle.

Sites.
Again, I am hour glassing on my avatar will keep you posted on how many moles I can put on my face.

Blogging.
Like cool water in summer, blogging is initially hard to get into, but once you are in, you don’t want to get out. It is the wall of fear launching your blog means another time commitment. (Whispers: You can take months off posting to your blog, it won’t go away, and people will still find what you did post. Then when you return, your blog takes you back with unconditional love.)
